One Nation Under God

As I raise my head
And lift my eyes,
I see the flag flapping
Gently in the breeze.

With the background
Of a blue sky and white clouds,
The colors seem so bold and bright;
Reminding me of the past.

I think about the freedom
This flag represents, to our Nation.
For, we are known as the
Land of the free and the home of the brave.

This nation was founded
Upon Godly principals
And nothing anyone can do or say
Will ever take that away from us.

Men have tried to destroy us,
To put us at odds with each other.
But, strife only brings us closer
And makes us a stronger nation.

For we are the
UNITED States of America
And UNITED we stand,
One nation under GOD.
