God's Perfection

From nothing God created all the Heavens and the earth,
And breathed the breath of life in man, and loved him from his birth.
                PERFECT DIVINITY.

And then God sent His Son to earth, to live among the strife.
He healed the sick, and raised the dead, and lived a sinless life.
                PERFECT HUMANITY.

Although He was the Son of God, a servant He became.
He washed the feet of His disciples, seeking no acclaim.
                PERFECT HUMILITY.

He made salvation's plan so clear a child could understand.
He bade the children come to Him, and take Him by the hand.
                PERFECT SIMPLICITY.

He taught the Bible's secrets to His loved and chosen few.
And every time one reads it, all the words are fresh and new.
                PERFECT COMPLEXITY.

He died upon a cross of shame to save us from our sin,
And opened up the gates of Heaven to invite us in.
                PERFECT VICTORY.

Someday He'll call His loved ones home, to live forevermore,
And be with Him forever on that bright and shining shore.
                PERFECT ETERNITY.
