Darkness At Midnight
In the darkness of the midnight, when all the earth seems still
And I'm still awake (thinking of the love in my Saviors' will,
The way He wants to protect us from evil), its so very nice
To know He loves us so much; makes me want to heed His advice.
After I think and talk with Him awhile, the darkness seems to fade away.
Seems the stars are shining brightly, going to be a lovely day.
If we walk in His footsteps, stay closely in His word,
He will tell us the sweetest story which men have ever heard.
In the twinkling of the twilight, when it's very close to dawn,
Seems we'd want to know our Master, how He died for our sin;
Last night the moon was, full to bursting, looking down on my.
I just though, "Old moon, one-day, look up, 'cause it's with my Savior I'll be;
Resting in His kingdom, filled with His Holy Spirit galore...
And though I love seeing you, up there, you can't look down on me anymore.
That's my Savior's promise. All Heavenly light will come from Him.
Should I look down on thee, old moon? You look mighty dim.
So, I believe I'll just hang out with Jesus, go with Him all the way...
So there will be no more midnight darkness, but brightness every day.
