New Year

Another milepost on the road
Is speaking of the days gone by:
The days that are flying with the wind,
The time as fickle as the sky—

This walking makes me stronger,
While following the paths now laid
By Him who walked this way before,
Which goes to love that never fades—

Oh come along, my friend, and taste
The banquet God’s preparing,
There’s nowhere else you’ll find your smile—
There’s plenty for the sharing!
