God’s Artwork

I see Him with a palette,
Creating many different hues,
Then with a brush I see Him work
In awe of all the shades he chose—

In spring I see a splash of color,
The yellow daffodils that shine
Are followed soon by violet’s purple
Then pinks and oranges jump in line—

In summer green defines the stage;
Above extends a dome of blue,
And skipping feet can almost fly
In wonder at the beauty viewed—

In autumn trees are dressed in bliss
Of oranges, yellows, tans, and reds
A quilt of many colored patches
Is formed when all the gowns are shed—

In winter peace inhabits earth
When life is covered deep with white;
And beauty takes on deeper meaning—
We see the love behind the sight…
