I FEEL YOUR PAIN


I’d like to find some magic way
to comfort you today.
But you have suffered such a loss
I don’t know what to say.

I want, somehow, to let you know
I hurt along with you,
And that I feel the dreadful pain
that you are going through.

But words of solace don’t come easy,
even though I try,
And all I want to do is
hold you in my arms and cry.

So even though I can’t express
the thoughts I feel inside,
I pray the Lord will be with you
and every need provide.

Because I know He holds you
in the hollow of His hand,
I know that He will lift you up
and give you strength to stand.
