GOD CARES



I’ve struggled hard to find some way that I could comfort you…
To let you know I feel the pain that you are going through.

Could gifts, or flowers ease the hurt that’s tearing you apart?
Could empathizing lift the weight that lies upon your heart?

The wound is still so fresh, so raw, the agony so deep;
Relief is only brief escapes in memory or sleep.

But even death can’t take away the one you’ve loved so much.
Because you never will forget her special, tender touch.

It just makes Heaven seem more real, to know that she awaits
The time that she can welcome you inside those golden gates.

And so with love I’ll lift you up before God’s Throne in prayer,
Because I know how much He cares, and that He’s always there.
