Melodies of Prayer

I whisper melodies of prayer,
And send the prayers on wings of tears,
And hope somehow my song
Will bring you to the dawn
Where God’s unfailing love appears.

If I could make a dream come true
Then God’s right arm would cover you,
But look! It’s true right now!
For God is all around;
It’s He who has composed the tune

That guides your journey through the night,
It’s He who helps you in your plight.
The tears have filled my eyes,
But He has heard my cries,
And He will bring you to the light.

I whisper melodies of prayer,

And with the angel’s song
I see the break of dawn
And marvel as God’s love appears.
