Memories

We can look at days gone by
And think that clouds have dimmed the sun,
Because it seems to shine less bright
Now our adventure here is done;

But it’s still shining just as bright,
Just coloring with different hues,
And there’s still beauty in this day
We can discover if we choose—

The love we painted yesterday
Now blends with light God gives today—
And crowning all, the memories
Forever in our hearts will stay…
