A Daughter Like You

I think of you, often, with a smile;
Always the best feelings come through.
If I had been blessed with a daughter,
I'd have wished her to be just like you.

There are many should, in this world,
Who will hold you aloft in their mind.
They will never have the cause to be critical,
You're the best example they'll find.

Of the kindness our Master showed daily,
The humbleness He felt here on earth,
you glow with great untold promise,
Unaware of your bountiful worth.

May your union, with your husband, be blessed.
May your life be gold, through and through.
And someday, May God, then, be willing
To send you a daughter like you.
