I’m Cold

Winter’s on her way again,
I have felt her frosty bite—
Desperation falls on me;
I’m cold,
And I’m losing strength to fight—

Days blow by like falling snowflakes,
Grabbing one, it disappears—
Gray futility dims light;
I’m old;
All I’ll leave behind are tears—

Winter has a grip on me,
Soon my life will reach its end—
Can I be redeemed again?
I’m sold—
Is the Spring around the bend?

Yes, the Spring will rescue me,
I’m considered quite a prize—
Warmed by love, I’ll live again,
I’m gold
When I’m seen through Father’s eyes!
