CLIMAX OF HISTORY
There was a night when stars were bright
And angels came to earth,
Announcement sent by God's consent;
A manger for His birth.
Man dissected time,
Marking well the day.
But, this was not the climax.
It came another way.
Nature marked another day.
Earthquakes and darkness fell.
Lightning strikes revealed a cross
High upon a hill.
Still, history's climax, yet to come,
Was waiting in the shadows.
The grave, found empty, shouted loud
That Name the world now hallows.
The finished work, the high price paid,
Bought Heaven for those who trust.
The climax came when Jesus failed
To stay dead, on the cross!
He rose to be alive, in me;
Alive for all of us!
Climax of History's happenings;
Love, in the Master's touch!
