" A Child's Prayer "

Hello God,

It's Me.

I know you must be very busy but
I hope you have a minute for me.

So many little kids like me will not have
their Mom or Dad at home for Christmas.

I don't understand what is going on even
when the adults try to explain it to me.

They tell me it's called a war.
Whatever that is.

I just know my family won't be together
for Christmas this year because of it.

Whatever this war thing is,
I ask you to please end it soon.

And if you don't mind God,
Please bring all the Moms and Dads
home real soon.

So we can all be together
next Christmas.

Well God, I'm being told it's time for bed.
