Love Came Down

A hush fell on the city, the
streets were bleak
and bare, the happy people
all gone home,
their Christmas gifts
to share.
When down the road came
Tommy, disheveled
and all alone, an
empty bottle in his
hand, no place call
his own.
No hope, no joy, no love to
share. A tear
came to his eye.
A wasted life, there's
nothing left, his only hope to die.
..........BUT LOVE CAME
DOWN

The cruel waves beat on the
shore, the deadly
rocks beneath, a single beam
of light shone
forth, to warn of sudden
grief.
Alone the keeper of the
light must sit in his small
room, and yearn for wife and
children dear,
singing "Silent
Night" at home.
..........BUT LOVE CAME
DOWN

Here is Nujarin, she Loves
her son, his body
now wasted away, as the
African sun beats
down on his head, No energy
left to play.
No food to feed this
starving child, no water to
wet his brow, no gifts to
give, no song to sing.
Oh death, Please take him
now.
..........BUT LOVE CAME
DOWN

The Christmas tree was all
decked out,
her little gifts were
wrapped, Old Sarah
sat in her hospital room,
dejected, lonely
and trapped "Last year
my family never
came, they're supposed to
come at eight",
but now the lights are all
turned out,
"I'll just sit here and
wait".
..........BUT LOVE CAME
DOWN

"I need a fix",
what a time to come down,
happy faces, trees and
light, "I need to get lost
in my world of drugs, how
else to get thru
this night, I've been on the
streets since the
age of 12, I've known
nothing but sex and drugs,
I need a fix, there's no way
out, Can anyone
prove that there's
Love?"
..........BUT LOVE CAME
DOWN

It's 5 O'clock, it's
Christmas eve, let's put on
our dancing shoes, go on
the town, let down
our hair, the party's free
and there's lots of beer,
We can drink and dance this
night away,
No care in the world for us,
the music's loud,
the talk is cheap, and a
good time is a must.
..........BUT LOVE CAME
DOWN

"My name is Danny, I'm
only 10, I've been
in care since 8, cause my
Mother committed suicide,
and for help it was too late,
So they put me in this
foster home, with promise
of safety and Love, and what
I got was doubtful
stares, as if they stood
high above!"
"All I want is just a
friend, can't they see my need!
While they mingle in their
perfect home,
My broken life, it bleeds."
..........BUT LOVE CAME
DOWN

"There's a meeting
tonight, I can hardly wait
to worship my Savior Most
High, But I must
wear black to hide in the
dark, or the soldiers
will see me pass by."
They had gathered in secret
to praise their Lord,
born on this Christmas eve,
but the soldiers came
in and took them away, what
courage it took to believe.
They were tortured and beaten
and put in jail,
but they kept on praising
GOD, Up until the shots
rang out, it amazed the
firing squad.
..........BUT LOVE CAME
DOWN

These things you've read are
really true,
despair and destitution,
hearts are broken, lives
torn down,
the world has No solution.
Almost two thousand years
ago
on a night, just like
tonight,
In a stable bare, In a
little town,
GOD brought forth his light.
There is Hope for all the
wasted lives,
If believers head this
Call,
And spread the Christmas
Message
......That JESUS Came
Down For All !!
