My Prayer

Take away the pain, that cuts like a knife,
And lead me to the place where there's peace in my life.
Only You, Lord, can heal my pain -
So that I can live and be happy again.

I've been, as faithful as I know how.
But, Lord, I need You so much now -
To show me all that You can do.
Help me, please, to see this through.

Whatever you tell me, I'll do my best to obey.
And until I hear clearly what you have to say,
I'll try to hold my head up high
And not give up, just silently cry.

You are the Almighty, Omnipotent One,
Who loved me enough to give me His Son.
In exchange for Your love, I give You all of my pain.
Lord help to live and be happy again.
