THE MASTER POTTER

The clay looked worn and useless
As it set all alone, unkept.
The Potter saw potential in the clay
And He chose it for Himself.

He picked up the clay with no beauty
And, with hands so loving and kind,
He made a vessel of beauty
That only the Master Potter could design.

The clay was remade
Into a masterpiece.
It is now claimed by He
Who molded it with love.

His Spirit even placed
A seal upon the vessel.
The Lord wrote His name on it
To place in the Book of Life, above.

Now the vessel brings honor
To the Master. The Potter's wheel
has brought new life, once again.

With the touch of the Lord's loving hand,
He made a vessel of honor and
Will do the same for all who look to Him.
